Celebrate the return of our members and friends from summer travels and activities, as well as the return of our choir, and our move back to the sanctuary for worship. The Lord's Supper will be celebrated, as well. A welcome back lunch will be provided during coffee hour. We hope to see everyone there!
April 14: Palm Sunday...We each take a palm leaf for this traditional service commemorating Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. 11 a.m. worship.
April 18: Maundy Thursday...Join us for a simple meal followed by worship with communion in observation of Jesus’ final meal with his disciples, which we do in remembrance of him. 6:30 p.m.
April 19: Good Friday...In partnership with our Bay Ridge sister church, Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church (6753 Fourth Ave.), a solemn worship service remembering our Lord's crucifixion will take place at Fourth Ave. at 7:30 p.m.
April 21: Easter/Resurrection of the Lord...Join us for joyous worship at 11 a.m., followed by a community potluck. (Please feel free to bring a dish to share!)
This year, we’re excited to present Holst's "Christmas Day", Schumann Piano Quintet, and selections from Bach's Christmas Cantatas and Ola Gjeilo's Winter Songs. Suggested donation: $15.

Palm Sunday, March 25
11 a.m. worship with palms, recalling the crowds heralding Jesus as savior as he enters Jerusalem prior to his death and resurrection.
Maundy Thursday, March 29
6 p.m. simple dinner and communion worship recalling Jesus' sacred last meal with his disciples and his call to remember his sacrifice of love.
Good Friday, April 30
7:30 p.m. Our members join our friends at Fourth Ave. Presbyterian Church, 6753 4th Ave., for worship in sacred remembrance of Jesus' redeeming death on the cross.
Easter/Resurrection of the Lord, April 1
11 a.m. worship in celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead and the redemption of humankind.
Union Church of Bay Ridge presents Music by the Late Romantics at 3:00 PM, featuring soprano Chelsea Feltman, cellist Timothy Leonard, and pianist Nana Shi. Program includes songs by Maurice Ravel, Kurt Weill, Jake Heggie, and the Rachmaninoff Sonata for cello and piano! This event also coincides with the Sacred Sites Open House Day to honor the Tiffany stained glass at Union Church of Bay Ridge, which was built in the late Romantic era as well! Admission fee: $10
For this holiday season, we reflect deeply on a year of much chaos and conflict. However, it's time to relax a little, fill our hearts with light, and pick ourselves back up this Christmas so that we can work even harder in 2017! Let's have a big party for the community! On December 20th, the Union Church Choirs will be performing some of your favorite as well as lesser known Christmas songs alongside a jazz quartet for the first time! They will be joined by the amazing Jim Ridl Trio and singer/trumpeter Nate Birkey. It's an event not to be missed!
