During the 40 days of Lent, we commit ourselves to spiritual self-examination, repentance, and renewal of our relationship with our God, as we prepare for the celebration of our highest holy day, the Resurrection of the Lord on Easter. The service includes the option of a virtual imposition of ashes on the forehead or hand, a Biblical symbol of repentance before God.
